Mustang passion

Since I’ve been a boy, twelve years old to be exact; I have been interested in cars. My father is the one who first introduced me to what it was like to work on cars. We started out doing oil changes and small work together and now we are up to complete rebuilding a whole car. I find working on cars and being able to help my friends, family and I save loads of money makes me feel warm inside. Working on a car, no matter what it is makes for a good pass time. I like to discover new things and try something I haven’t done before so I can expand my knowledge in the automotive field.
Cars for me, isn’t something I would consider a career in but rather keep as a hobby. Right now I am restoring a 1995 mustang GT. My dad and I are slowly “nickel and dimming” it, so the project has been moving at snail speeds until lately. Yesterday we finally got all the glass and windows put in the car and I have to say I is looking great. The project is finally moving along again it seems and this make me very happy.
Working on, and building this car with my dad means a lot to me. This has always been something that my dad and I have done together and the time we spend doing this project is very precious to me. This is why I am so passionate about working on cars.

this is what the final product should look like

  1. Outside of one quick tip here--you write that "Cars...is something..." which is grammatically incorrect--I have nothing but kudos to you for this post. Your passion on this subject even made a non-car-lover like me get excited and want to know the details of your restoration project!

  2. Nice blog post! I liked the really personal narrative you made when talking about why cars as well as that mustang matters to you, how its you and your fathers project and how knowing cars can be very usefully really show why you are passionate about them.

  3. Awesome! I really like that you write about how you are doing this with your dad, I think thats a great way to spend time with each other! I have the utmost respect for anyone that can do mechanic work (my dad is a mechanic :), maybe I am biased!) I hope my son can enjoy things like this with his dad! Good luck to you with your project! Who gets to drive it when its done, you or dad?

  4. Great post! It gave much insight on your passion, I have a question though have you considered your hobby/passion as a career. I believe the best performers in any industry are those with a true passion for what they do. And I believe its great you and your father have something to share as a hobby.
